Community College of Southern Nevada:
BIOTECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR/INSTRUCTOR

This faculty position is anticipated to begin in January 2001. It is a tenure track position with the usual benefits and competitive salary. Assignments may be multi-campus with the possibility of day, evening and weekend classes. Demonstrated commitment to community college education and technological skills are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach biotechnology lecture and lab sections; coordinate internships with biotechnology industry partners; schedule courses, develop budget and recommend purchases; coordinate curriculum development/review; advise and recruit students.

SALARY: Based on education and experience

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree in life science, physical science or health science required; experience in teaching preferably in a setting of higher education; demonstrated ability/experience in biotechnology, biotechnology manufacturing processes, i.e. fermentation, cell culture and downstream processing; knowledge of computer applications associated with data analysis preferred.
